TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • FEES

    1. Our lessons can be booked in terms only.

    2. Payment must be made at least 24 hours before the lesson. The academy reserves the right to stop teaching any pupil whose tuition fee has not been paid.

    3. Fees can be paid in cash, cheques or via bank transfer to the academy. Bank transfer is preferable for health and safety reasons.

  • RESCHEDULE, CANCELLATIONS AND MAKEUP LESSONS

    1. Each student is entitled to ONE makeup lesson per academic year.

    2. In an event where a student is unable to make the class and is entitled for a makeup lesson, a minimum of 48 hours notice must be given to the academy.

    3. Students who missed lessons for any reason will not receive a credit or refund. However, the academy will make every effort to ensure that students catch up with the work missed.

    4. If the Academy is closed, or a teacher is unavailable to deliver a lesson(s) for any reason, every effort will be made for makeup class to be rearranged at a later date. Credits will be issued by the Academy if we are unable to make up the lesson(s).

    5. Lessons are strictly not transferable.

  • EXAMS

    1. Examinations are part of the syllabus, but not compulsory. They are accredited by the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM), London College of Music (LCM) or Trinity College of Music.

    2. Please discuss with us if you/your child(ren) are interested in applying for music exams and we will advise you on the appropriate time and level of examination for you/your child(ren).

    3. Exam candidates are expected to pay any examination fees and to make arrangements for accompanists, as appropriate.

  • Group Lessons

    1. Students must be punctual for class and need to bring all required materials used in class.

    2. Group make-up lessons are not available.

    3. In an event where your child is the only student in the class, a 20 minutes one-to-one lesson will be given.

    4. Presto Music Academy is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Please plan to arrive on time in order to pick up your child promptly.

  • BEHAVIOUR

    1. All Customers are expected to behave in a responsible and courteous manner at all times and to attend Lessons regularly.

    2. Poor attendance, disruptive or anti-social behaviour may result in tuition being withdrawn with immediate effect. No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.

  • TERMINATION OF LESSONS

    1. All pupils of Presto Music Academy are expected to be committed to the full term.

    2. Written notice of four working weeks before the end of a term is required should you wish to terminate your lessons. Lessons not covered by this notice will be charged. This gives us time to deal with any necessary adjustments for staff and classes.

    3. When a pupil has been enrolled in the school they remain so until formally withdrawn. Failure to attend classes does not constitute formal withdrawal.

  • GIFT VOUCHERS

    1. Vouchers are non-refundable and are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.

    2. No change of refund given if the full value is not used.

    3. Lessons must be booked in advance, and scheduling is subject to availability at the specific branch. Contact us to secure your preferred time.

  • SAFEGUARDING

    Presto Music Academy is committed to providing the highest standards in promoting the welfare of children and adults and protecting them from harm at all times.

    We are committed to:

    1. Protecting children and adults who receive our services;

    2. Ensuring that all members of staff are properly trained and supported in safeguarding;

    3. Ensuring that all Teachers and staff have passed enhanced NI checks as well as completing the Child Protection training.

  • CHILD SAFETY

    1. Children will be under the supervision of Presto Music Academy Ltd exclusively during their class sessions. Teachers and administrators/supervisors do not assume responsibility for supervising children outside of these designated class times.

    2. If a parent is delayed in picking up their child, please inform the academy promptly.

  • PERSONAL DATA

    1. No third parties will have access to your personal data unless we have your consent or there is a legal obligation for us to provide it. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is processed securely.

    2. We will generally keep your personal data for a minimum of 2 years, after which time it will be destroyed if it is no longer required for the lawful purpose(s) for which it was obtained.

    3. If you consent to marketing, any information we use for this purpose will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information. You can withdraw consent by emailing info@prestomusicacademy.co.uk

  • SUMMERCAMPS

    1. Changes of bookings can be done with minimum 28 days prior to the start of original camp, subject to availability.

    2. You may cancel for up to 14 days after your booking in order to receive a refund minus a 10% administrative charge.

    3. Any cancellations after this four-week period will result in no refunds.

    4. Mobile Phones or any valuable belongings are not permitted in camp. All valuables must be left at home.

    5. Presto Music Academy does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any property belonging to the participants.
